Jointly, the seven County Commissioners serve three core functions: 1) Setting countywide policy 2) Influencing regional and statewide policy 3) Addressing issues that impact those who live, work, and spend time in Hennepin County.

In 2018, Hennepin County budgeted expenses at about $2.4 billion dollars. To put that in perspective, Beyoncé & Jay-Z’s combined net-worth is just one-half of what the County will spend each year. How is that money allocated?
